Townhall Meeting · February 9, 2009 @ 07:58 PM

So for those of you who have been following my twitter feed, you've noted that over the past few days I've spammed it with messages about Obama. Elkhart County, the county in which I live, has the highest unemployment rate in the country, above 15%. Obviously, the stimulus package that is going through Congress right now is very important to us, as if done right, this stimulus could provide our country with upwards of 80,000 jobs.

On Saturday, hundreds of people lined up outside Concord HS in order to get tickets. I was  [...]

No Seeds in a Fruitless State · November 9, 2008 @ 09:04 PM

I've had some odd titles lately. Oh well. I guess that's part of all of this wonderful goodness that is TSR.

Except that it's not always good, and not everybody appreciates it. But that's the point of a blog, isn't it? It's a journal that you've chosen to expand upon the world. What they make of it, I've no idea, nor do I care. These are my thoughts, these are my words, and these are my contradictions. Yeah, that's right, my contradictions. Keep your coins, I want Change · November 8, 2008 @ 10:40 PM

I think that this really explains itself, but I think it's great. I think so often people are willing to just throw their money at a problem and hope that it goes away; if they even do that. I think in actuality, it's more like people gripe at the problem and hope that it just disappears. Either way doesn't solve the problem. Yeah, money has a better chance than griping, but just throwing your money into a cause does nothing unless you also invest other things most people aren't willing to; their time and their interest.

It's Time for a Change · November 6, 2008 @ 10:46 PM

As said by our now President Elect, Barack Obama.

I watched CNN all night Tuesday, November 4th, 2008. I watched the ballots come in, and I can't possibly describe the elation I got as Obama's numbers grew ever closer to the 270 mark while McCain's stayed fairly low. When he finally crossed the 270 mark as soon as the West Coast closed their polls, I shouted for joy. It was remarkable. Absolutely remarkable that our country has progressed so much.

Yeah, there's all the hype about how he's the first  [...]

Rights · April 19, 2008 @ 07:30 PM

"People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use."

I found that quote off of my tumblr through somebody I follow, and I must tell you, how insane I think that quote is. Not that I believe that it's wrong, but that it hits the nail on the head, so to speak. That quote, along with my ridiculous daydreams while walking my dog, really opened my mind to how confused America really is.

That quote is scarily accurate, people don't think. They  [...]
