Bowling Excursion · July 24, 2008 @ 05:38 PM

I bowled a 99 and a 64 (bad, I know).

HOWEVER!

The score is not the important part of my trip. Something far more eventful happened while I was there. Apparently, if you bowl a strike with a green pin in the mix (which I did), you get a free game. After I bowled this strike, a guy came over, looking for all the world like he worked there. He asked me for my name, first and last. Then he walked away. I was confused, as he didn't say anything  [...]

I'm Gonna Die · July 7, 2008 @ 01:38 PM

I honestly don't know, or care, what the percentage is of people who die of heat stroke, but after biking home from work today, I feel like I'm going to join their number and raise that percentage just a little bit. I bike to work, and it's about a 10 minute bike ride, depending on how nice people are in letting me cross the street and how many times I stop to switch the songs on my iPhone. In the morning, at 8:30, it's not a bad ride at all, in fact, it's really nice, as  [...]

Charolette · June 27, 2008 @ 08:08 PM

The first night we got here in Liberal, we were told about a pregnant smokey gray cat that had been hanging around that my grandpa had been feeding. Over the past week, she's grown more comfertable with all of us, and so close to her pregnancy, has stayed close. This morning, she gave birth to four kittens, all of which are black and have white faces, though at least one has white socks as well. Having grown fond of her, we decided to adopt her. Deciding upon a name was difficult, and it included names like  [...]

First Day of Work · June 25, 2008 @ 12:58 PM

So in order to earn money for my band trip over the upcoming New Year's; I decided that I needed to earn money while I was away in Kansas. Part of what I'm doing is babysitting my mom's boyfriend's daughter, Paige, which I will do generally Thursday - Saturday. That's a fairly good gig, as it's $30 a day, so if I do it three days, that's already $90. However, on the other days that I'm not babysitting, I decided that I would work at my grandpa's appliance store. I'm only working 2 hours or so  [...]

A Liberal Post · June 24, 2008 @ 09:48 AM

Days Remaining: 32

So all in all, my trip to Liberal was fairly uneventful. I drove by myself for the first time to go see Michael on Saturday afternoon before I left, which was great, because I got to see him one last time. My dad let me drive all the way to Chicago Midway where we caught our flight. That was fairly easy, though I found it hysterical how the speed limit is marked as 55, and nobody goes under 70. I also almost hit a motorcycle who didn't pay attention to  [...]
